Pastoral Studies, worth 12 Certificate credits, has been prepared primarily for those who feel called to, or who are already serving as elders in the Church of Jesus Christ. It deals with the practical issues of pastoral leadership progressing with practical issues of caring for the Church of Jesus Christ. Those who are not in the above categories are by no means excluded from this material. On the contrary it is a great advantage for leaders in general and even those who are not leaders to understand the requirements for those who are called by God into the ministry of eldership. It should certainly inspire them to be more understanding, to appreciate, to more fully support and to pray for the elders whom God has given to lead them. Furthermore, it is always an advantage for people to be trained towards a greater degree of leadership than they are in. They will be envisioned and inspired to expect greater things from God.
